The Estrogen Ocean - One Man Among many Females

Living in a house where I am only one man, and there are 5 girls (one wife, and four daughters), things can get pretty crazy. I realize that adolescent girls usually go through puberty around the ages of 12-14.

Yet, is there such a thing as a 9 year old, 6 year old, 4 year old, and 2 year old all going through this metamorphosis at the same time, and well before they're biologically supposed to? This is what I experience in my house. It is not uncommon for me to witness (at any given time, and with any one of my daughters) 10 emotions in less than a one hour period of time; no lie!

It's enough to drive me to drink, jump off a cliff, route for the Utes, slip down a slide made of razor blades and landing into a pool of alcohol, or something irrational like that.

Yet, you know what, after tucking those little sweethearts in bed, watching them help out their mom around the house, witnessing them stand up for each other while playing with friends, and me receiving the best little hugs in the world, makes it all worth it!

It's those little things that help me surf the crazy waves of the estrogen ocean.
